Love that you put the blocks on point - gives the D9P a whole different look. I'm sure Highway will enjoy his/her quilt too.

I love how this turned out. What did your original block look like before you cut it? Were they all the same or different?

Leslie, this is a disappearing 9-patch and I don't know if there is really a pattern or not. Might check YouTube as someone is always putting out videos on new ideas. Sorry I can't be of much help. Might check the Photos here as that's where I found the DP9 on point. That's what set me on this path to turning my blocks.

I love this. Where did you place the colors to accomplish this? Just beautiful!

I put the solid black in the center of all the blocks and alternated the browns and blues to the outer corners. Various beiges were used for the lights. Then I added the sashing between the blocks. I mainly used what I had on hand in my stash so guess you could call this a freebie quilt. I have a whole tote full of 5" squares so may need to make another quilt soon. Been working on my scrap tote and have made 4 larger lap quilts. Seems my scraps keep procreating during the night as the level hasn't gone down any it seems. Just took one scrappy off the frame and have the next one ready to go today. I'm on a roll I think after going thru a funk this summer. Just couldn't get into the mood to do any sewing.

Thanks for looking at my quilts. Will be sending them to Florida in the next week or so.

Dianne, I put the solid black in the center in each block, the blues & browns to the outer corners, beiges between. Added solid beige for the sashing between the blocks. I have a design wall so made it easier to arrange them till I like what I saw. Was just about ready to start putting the blocks together in the normal way when someone on this site showed us their DP9 on point. Just had to try it with my blocks.

    Thanks for looking.
