Strange choice for a baby quilt
#31
Go with her choices... Btw, they sell mesh bumpers nowadays that are supposed to be safer. I just bought the sheets and mesh bumper for pregnant cousin. I am making a diaper bag, quilt, and quilted baby wipe and diaper carrier. (all patterns in same book).
A few years ago, my DSIL wanted a baby quilt with fall leaves, browns, reds, oranges, etc. which was her design for the nursery. On the back, I took the liberty of putting a brown toile fabric picturing baby animals. I think you could add a juvenile print in the mothers chosen colors to the back...

I love the bright and striking colors.
This way they will be able to use the quilt for many many years without it being juvenile. I myself totally dislike "baby" quilts as they get put away never to be seen so many times because they are just that...babyish. No chance of that with these wonderful colors.

They are very striking. Bright colors are stimulating for babies so the little one will have something to study. Sounds like a very modern mom, would love to see the nursery when it is ready. It may not be my style, I'd go for pastels, but I bet it will be lovely.
