http://www.waytogoidaho.com/whypotatograinvodka/ Did you notice that if you read further, that the potato vodka is high-grade ethyl alcohol, which is used as an alternative fuel (ethanol)? So we could drink it, iron with it, or put it in a car to go to the fabric store! lol Win, win, win!!

I can't see that grain vodka makes anu difference as it is sticky. Remember being a child and making flour glue? This will show your age.
I thought the vodka was used to stabilise water and oil which will not mix without the glue.

I heard it was a synthetic ingredient as this question came up in one of the classes I attended. Never heard it was vodka which is a carbohydrate that will convert to a starch eventually.

I've used the vodka mixture for at least a year now. Love it. It works very well. I don't add scent to mine. True, the only way you're going to get me to iron (other than for quilting) is to add alcohol to the mix, not vodka, but a lovely blackberry wine.

I always keep a bottle of vodka in my kitchen (hic, lol!). I use it for lots of things - wiping a surface before you add a Command hook, cleaning car wiper blades.
