I'm lazy and like to cut LOTS of layers at a time, so I use my 60mm the most. It did seem big at first but now that I'm used to it the 45mm seems really small!

I use the 45 mostly. I like the 60 for when I'm cutting off the batting/ heavy layers as it makes for easier movement....

I love my 60mm rotary cutter since I bought it a number of years ago. I've just used it but recently bought the Wave I think it's called. it's the one that's easy to change the blade. I've been using it lately and I like it but still wouldn't trade my 60mm. Wondering if they might come out with a 60mm that is easy to change the blade? hummmmm

    I have the 28mm, the 45mm, and the 60mm. I like the 45 best...

It eliminated the pains I got from the straight handle and I love how the blade cover automatically closes when you release pressure on the handle. If you have never used one, check it out.
I have the 28mm & 60mm and 2 or 3 45mm. The one I use all the time is the one that the blade cover automatically closes when you release the handle. It really spoils me for going back to the straight handle cutter that I have to REMEMBER to engage/disengage the blade each time I pick it up/lay it down.

Any chance the blade is loose? That's one of two small complaints I have with the Fiskars 60mm I have here. From time to time, the bolt that hold the blade loosens up. I was thinking of putting a tiny bit of the lightest threadlock I can get on it.

Yup, the second complaint I have is the same as you. I keep grabbing for the cutter too close to the blade because I'm used to it retracting automatically. I have little nicks all over my right hand. I'll learn eventually. It's getting better, I only have 2 open cuts this week....

I tend to use the 45 mm. rotary cutter the most, but I use the 60 mm when I am cutting thicker fabric or more layers as it does a better job, but it all depends on your preference and what is comfortable to you..

I have a 45 MM which is mostly what I use. I would like a 28 MM which I think would be better for curves. I have a smaller one, I think is 18MM that I almost never use. I bought it to use on curves but the blade is so small it won't clear the ruler, so not much good.

I use mainly the 45mm. I have used the 60 if I need to cut a lot of layers and I have used the 28 for very small cuts.

A lady in my church had a 60. She found it very difficult to find blades.
