which size rotary cutter

Ive always used a 45mm rotary cutter but today at the store I saw the 60mm. What is the difference between the two? Is one better than the other or do they have different uses?

Don't know, I use the 45mm.

I use the 60 a lot as I can cut more layers accurately with it.

I have about 10 different cutters of all sizes from years of teaching and owning a shop.
I rarely use any but the 45mm one personally.

The 60 is good for cutting through several layers of fleece. When you add the thickness of the ruler to the thickness of 2 or more pieces of fleece, it is difficult to cut through with the 45.

I use the 60 mm and the 45 as my go to cutters. I think its easier when cutting multiple layers to use the 60mm.

I use 28mm for cutting twisters using template as you can cut tight to the template with this. I use the 45mm for cutting blocks and for cutting strips I use my 60mm as it cuts up to 8 layers accurately its also better for cutting thicker fabric like denim. I use true cut rotary cutters as I like the handle and I have their big ruler 24 1/2in long. use what suits you best we are all different with different sizes hands and strengths.
