I think I'd like to make a little purse (bag) like the one Eleanor Burns showed on her video of the Hole in the Wall quilt. As far as this weekend goes, I think I'll just keep trucking to try to finsh that Air Force quilt. I'm at the border stage.

I never thought of using my selvages for a string quilt, what an interesting idea!

This is my first project completed, but it was the easiest one! I birthed it and did VERY minimal quilting on it as it's a prayer shawl and we like them to drape easily. I did take time off this morning to make meatloaf and macaroni & cheese for lunch. Tomorrow I'll throw some cooked pork in the crock pot with bbq sauce for pulled pork sandwiches and then chicken gnocchi soup in the crock pot Sunday.

Keep up the good work and welcome to all who are joining me.
What is a prayer shawl?

I have 6 squares finished. I am hoping to get more done later today. Tomorrow we have to be out and about until about 3 p.m. but I want to work on these once I get home...after I feed the hungry!!
Sorry that the pics are blurry....taken with cell phone.

I am in. I had a delayed opening this morning so I prepped 3small wallhangings. They are all spray basted. They will be quilted as I zig zag the the applique. The first two of these that I made I just used the back and brought it around the front for the binding. I also have some borders to put on some quilts and some hand quilting to do.

I have a Sunbonnet Sue ready for March that needs to be quilted (wall hanging). I have Thomas the Tank play mats ready to be quilted. I am working on Marcia Layton's Cottontail wall hanging and making yo-yos like craze. I also have a Christmas tree table "runner" started. I also have decided I need to reorganize my sewing closet. I take another quilt class at LQS on Monday. I purchased a Bernina 830 last spring and am learning how to use it by taking classes. Guess I need a month virtual quilting!

Nice work everyone is showing. I hope to be able to do some sewing. I want to put the border on the Superbowl mystery quilt and get it sandwiched. Also took a workshop this week with Phyllis Binkley so I want to continue to work on a few techniques on the sample we did.

Really need to do some yard work and clean the house, straighten up the sewing room too. Hope to watch some Olympics too while I'm sewing, GO USA!
