When you say your son "Got his First Elk", does that mean he shot it? Poor thing.

Yes, Carol....my grandson shot his first elk. Here in Oregon, we have hunting season......to keep the # of elk down. Elk and deer will reproduce at a fast rate and will end up with nothing to eat or with disease. They limit the # of deer or elk killed every year. The deer and elk are food for many of us.

Wonderful use of a quilt panel. Your quilt is beautiful and very inviting. I especially like your border. I know the recipient will love it. I made a hunter's quilt for one of my sons and it is very well used which pleases me very much.

    The quilt measures 60 1/2 x 76", I used Quilters Dream batting.

NOTE: If you order the kit, the pattern doesn't come with it. Their website does not offer the pattern!!!!!! I think that's rather odd.

Glad to hear there is a "Quota" and not open slather.
