    Awesome and congrats!

I think about putting a project in our fair but i personally know my competition. I am not worthy! Now, no one needs to dismiss my comment. I say it with love and respect for the work by my fellow quilters. And the fact that I never get a judge-worthy project ready to submit.

Wow! You're good, no as Tony the Tiger says, you're Grrrrreat!!
I can't believe you quilted these on a domestic machine. They're amazing!
And you spur me on, hoping I can get better with my fmq on my Janome 7700 and Juki HZL-400...
    Congrats!!
    Regards,
    Kif

Forgot to add, I love how your outfit matches your BOS quilt!
Did you use stencils on the fmq?? I would love to see you quilting in action. Is it possible to do a lil video tutorial?
I know I for one, truly am encouraged to see such beautiful quilting that was done on a domestic that's not on a frame.

They are all just stunning, but that 'Best of Show' quilt is to die for!

Thanks, K. To answer your question, no, I typically don't use stencils and didn't on this one. I marked the spines of my feathers to keep them consistent, and then fill in the spaces with plumes. If you examine the feathers closely, you will see that the plumes are not consistent, but your eye/brain interprets them to look like they are... I also marked the half circles in the middle of each border. The swirly pumpkin seeds in the white batik were done around a 1" square grid that I marked with a water soluble blue marker.
