How about sewing the tan and brown together in strips, then whatever that amounts to, cut square blocks. Turn one up and down, next one sideways, etc. If the inches don't turn out even then use narrower on each end. That will add some interest and movement. I'm good at making more work for other people.

I still like the first picture with the tan and brown - seems softer and cuddlier. My second favorite is the light green and brown.

But whatever you decide it will be a wonderful quilt. And I love the fleece you have chosen for the backing! If you do chose the narrow white sashing, it will really mimic the backing.

Thank you everyone for your thoughts. I truly appreciate them. I have a lot of this fabric and will probably make 3 or 4 more quilts out of this barn animal fabric

This is what I ended up on the first one.. I will probably bind it in the tan. Now I have lots of ideas for the next one

Babies are attracted to bright colors. I would choose a bright crayon green with the tan, and leave out the gray strips.

If those are horses in the print, tan seems to be better. What about tan and green instead of green and gray?

I am leaning toward the green.

Any thoughts of picking up those little bits of red in your bordering strips? Perhaps as a narrow third strip instead of the white?

I agree - skip the white altogether.

I don't think you need the white. It just jumps out at you.
