Any recommendations for numbered pins?

I have a list made up on my computer 1A to 9H. Rather than saving them they are single use. I use previously used paper and print on that. It is faster to lay out the quilt and then cut the labels apart as I use them than trying to keep them sorted. Pinning them in the middle of the block in the direction I want the block to be placed has saved me much time.

I had purchased a tin of about 100 binding clips ("wonder clips") online for about 11 dollars. I also would fight to keep post-its attached to my pieces, but then I had an "ah ha" moment and simply wrote numbers and letters onto the binding clips and attached things that way. Worked wonderfully well - not only did I mark the one block, but I was able to clip the entire row together!

I use small scraps of white or light colored fabric, write the details i.e. 1 = Row 1, 2 = Row 2, etc A = Block 1, B = Block 2 etc so my scrap has written on it 1A or 1B or 2A or 2B and so on, I then use a little safety pin to attach to the block. When flimsy is finished I remove the number, put the safety pin back in and close it and save ready for the next time.

I used to just write on flower head pins with a sharpie. When you pull them out just put them in a bowl of rubbing alcohol and it washes out. Now that is too much trouble for me. I write the number on blue painters tape. Example 1-1 for row 1 block one. I always put in right corner. Sticks just fine, tight enough but not too tight. Then I throw it away. No residue.
