I love it. I received a shopping bag full of pieces all ironed and folded. I hope nobody ever sees my scraps. They aren't ironed.

That is wonderful!! Good for you! If one of my friends hadn't done the same thing for me, I might never have known the enjoyment quilting has brought into my life.

Wow! This happened to a friend of mind, and she asked me to help her sort. We got a bunch of photocopy paper boxes and sorted by color. Such fun! The nice part was that she let me pick out whatever I wanted/needed, so I took home a few nice pieces.

I received the same blessing! Last Tuesday night at our quilt meeting, one of the ladies said she had some bags of scraps to give me in the trunk of her car. She handed me the keys and told me to go get them and put them in my car. Her trunk was full... ten garbage bags full! I've spent the whole week since then washing, ironing folding and sorting all of it. Only one bag to go. So many charity quilts will come from this! But yes, it can be overwhelming. You have to find more storage space!

We have a friend who is moving. Every Monday for the last couple of months she has been bring fabric, patterns, books, etc. to reduce her sewing room prior to the move. She is not giving up quilting or sewing just reducing inventory. I have no idea where I can put everything she has given me. I have managed to incorporate almost half of it, by giving away things I have duplicates of, or just don't use.
