I make hanging dishtowels for friends and family. The kind you can hang from your stove handles. I use holiday themed towels and add pretty fabric toppers. Everyone loves them. I explain how to make them in this thread over in the General Chit Chat forum. Here is the link to that thread. Halloween Hanging Dishtowels The explanation on how I make them is post number 16 in that thread.

So many good ideas. The grocery bag is a great one. I have a pattern from the Crafty Gemini that cost me $3.00 for an on line tutorial and pattern. You use one yard of decorator cotton (like a canvas) and it makes a great tote bag. They whip up pretty quick, too.

Laura's youtube channel has great ideas. It's called Sew Very Easy. I've made a number of her projects.

Litter bags for the car. I made two with pockets on the outside for cellphone, sunglasses, notebook and pen.

I love a travel tray to put on the bedside table to prevent loosing small things. If you have an embroidery machine, you can monogram it.
    Here are some tutorials.

I'm going to try making pouches from candy bags. Here's a link to Jenny Doan's video tutorial https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=npFmoHTsqa8

[QUOTE=sewbizgirl;8151363]I'm making my daughter a set of pretty pillowcases for Christmas. Last year I made her a great little portable toiletries carrier that can unfold and hang in a hotel bathroom. It was a "ByAnnie" pattern and worth every penny.

Sewbizgirl, I have this pattern but haven't started it. How difficult is it? Yours looks beautiful!
