Amazing Eddie. How do you cut your quilts out so fast? Does someone spoon feed you so you can continue quilting? How's the Emb Machine working? Saw where you did your name & it's looking great. Just takes practice like everything else. You'll be a Pro on it before long. Can't wait to see your Emb creations. TTUL........

Hi, Sheila. This one was super easy to cut and piece, which is what initially attracted me to the pattern (yeah, I can be lazy at times. :D ) It's all strip piecing, where you sew twelve 5" strips into a tube shape and then cross-cut them into 2.5" rows. You then pick apart a seam on every other color and also slice the middle of every other fabric, so that you end up with the alternating pattern. Then just sew those resulting rows together. So the whole thing as far as sewing is a bunch of long-running straight stitches.

I've got the embroidery machine loaned out to Melissa at the moment, as hers is in the shop being worked on. My little dinky embroidery machine is a big step down for her, but at least it sews so that she can continue getting something done. She made a bag for her bible this evening so that she can tote it to church, and has started on a jacket. She's always got some kind of project going as well.

What has it been now? Two or three days since you whipped out a quilt? That one is a beauty Eddie! My very favorite colors! Lucky Melissa!

Melissa's quilt is beautiful, Eddie. I really like the colors and fabric choices. I don't think I've seen that book yet; I'll have to see if my library has it. I'll bet Melissa is very happy with her quilt.

23 quilts so far, wow! Very impressive!

    Hi Eddie,
Man... Can you ever put out the beautiful quilts. This one is sure a showstopper too. Great colors and well the design reminds me of rick rack at an angle sewn diagonally accross the whole top. How cute is that? You do very nice work.

Eddie, I have to add my two-cents worth. Your quilting is fabulous and each quilt presents a challenge to everyone. My keyboard continues to be "wet with drool" over the quilts I see placed on display on this Board. Thank all of you for your wonderful quilts which inspire so many people. All of these ideas go into my "quilt pipe line" which is becoming very full. My quilt pipe line is "up and coming projects." This is a quote from Nancy who owns Nancy's Quilt Shop in Newport News, VA.
