Gee you did a great job on it. What kind of product did you use to paint it?

Read earlier posts. :-) I painted it with Tri-Chem liquid embroidery paint way back around 1976. Yikes! That was a long, long, time ago!

Beautiful! I made a crib sheet, a birth announcement, and a tablecloth back in the 70's using that Liquid Embroidery! I loved it! I gave my daughter (now 36!!) her crib sheet recently along with the wall hanging (birth announcement) AND I am still using the tablecloth!

    Such memories! Great job!!!

Did you by any chance put the blocks through a printer & print extra fabric with the paintings on it. I'm sure you could sell this to a fabric manufacturer. It is gorgeous.

That thought never crossed my mind. Back when I began putting them together, I just barely had a computer and the thought never crossed my mind. I think there might be copyright issues though since the original girl patterns were from the Tri-Chem company. I certainly did not draw them out myself. I just recently learned how to put photos on my quilts though with the fabric w/paper backing that you run through the printer. I plan to try some quilt labels with that technique next week and will let you know how it turns out. But your suggestion to a fabric manufacturer makes me think that if any of them ever read these quilting blogs, they might dream up something similar and perhaps it would be a good seller. I know I really love the old fashioned paper doll prints on fabric that are popular now.
