maybe simple soft Irish chain blocks to frame them if you want a bed size quilt in the greens and yellows mentioned.

Do you think your mother would adopt me? Those blocks are beautiful...

    I like Amma's suggestion!

The blocks are 15 inches finished.
Since it is a wedding quilt, what about making the quilt all white and let the embroidery colors be the in the limelight and use white offset blocks with complimenting quilting designs.
BTW, that is a gorgeous block!! You have a great and talented Mom!

I have a super neat pattern for this, if you want to pm me and I can email it to you. Here is a pic of the quilt that was made for me using this pattern. Actually, I have it upside down on the bed, but you can get the idea.
I am in the process of making one myself

That is a beautiful block. It's going to be an awesome quilt. I like the idea of yellow around the blocks. A scalloped edge would be beautiful.

I too believe, this being a wedding quilt, that white should dominate the quilt. If additional blocks are needed, use plain white or a white tone-on-tone with a feathered heart quilt motif slightly smaller than the embroidered hearts. Smaller will not detract from the beautiful embroidery work.

I would use plain fabric (same as the background of the embroidered blocks) as alternate blocks. Quilt them with motifs the same as the embroidered blocks. A wedding quilt is so impressive when it's all white.

I would do white on white and quilt using a trapunto heart or heart and vine...just a thought. Lovely blocks! Do tell your mom that she does lovely embroidery.

The squares are very pretty...can't wait to see what you do with it.
