No, not ever. And it's not something I ever plan to do or would ever consider planning to do. I wouldn't even do it on a spur of the moment thingy. Nope, ain't gonna happen. And my last name used to be BEAR!!!!! (and before you ask, yes, we went in the woods if we had too)

I have to admit that there is one commercial that I have to watch every time it comes on. It's got a darling little boy walking down the street, wearing a white (?) shirt and diapers that are colored to look like denim. The narrator sounds a little like Ricardo Montalban, and he says something like 'I may be doing number two, but I look like number one!". Not sure why this cracks me up so much - maybe I'm just getting old.

I actually mute the tv when they come on. I cant stand them. Also they come on louder than the show you were watching. No regulations on their volumne I heard. Check it out, I kid you not they are louder. AND why (big pet peeve) do I have to see a burger commercial at 9 pm at night? I HAVE ALREADY HAD DINNER they truly bother me. I guess late night stoners or what see it and jump in the car and fly over to the fast food joints. Truth is I dont care for commercials at all. I buy what I want, we dont eat much junk food at all and they don't influence my shopping at all.

generally ignore them - except the ones with dogs. On a side note, the marketing depts. must have gotten it right, we all seem to remember the commercials and mostly what they are for - eeewwww.

Some TV's have a built-in thing that makes the volume of commercials the same as the show itself. If you have a DVR, you can start watching a show about 15-20 minutes after it starts, then fast forward through the commercials.

Do any of these commercials really make people go out and buy those products? Not for me.

They are so loud because they want to make sure you hear it, if you leave the room. For some you can even leave the house and you can hear it !!! I agree with all of the ones you have mentioned. The mute button is my friend, long with being able to fast forward through the show. 99% of the time I am watching something I have recorded.

It all makes me miss Billy Mayes even more...

Seriously, I hate television, any series I want to watch, hello NETFLIX.... 40 min per hr episode...vs 1 hr with inserted unwanted noise....
