I like Moda Marbles, but have found more luck with colors with the RJR Handspray collection. I love blenders!

Northcott. I love Stonehenge and it works much better with batiks than a lot of other regular cotton blenders.

I used to use a lot of Moda Marbles, but now the fabric seems thinner than I like and they just don't look/act the same. Patrick Lose (the designer of Moda Marbles) is now designing marbles for Timeless Treasures. Has anyone tried those (Marble Mania)? I'm wondering how they compare to the Modas.
2 of my local quilt shop owners have recently told me that Moda is choosing to make cheaper fabric rather than increase the price as so many manufacturers are doing. They said they would quit carrying Moda because of this.

Moda increased their prices on the marbles 25 cents/yard earlier this year. Their other collections, they've been raising the prices 10 cents or more, all along, whenever they bring the new lines out.

I love Moda Marbles and also love Kaufman Fusions and Northcott Stonehenge for blenders. I just found a new favorite that looks like an antique tin ceiling, or like a white on white quilt. It's called Dorothy by Windham. I need to get me some. (Like I need more fabric? NOT!)

I do like them but Robert Kaufman has a line of what I call a fill fabric . It has fine leaves and really nice shading(fusions). I call it my when in doubt fabric ...everything goes with that line and it come in lots of great colors/shades.
Fusions replaced Moda Marbles as a staple for me.

My favorite is Tokyo by Red Rooster for a solid substitute, good depth of color in the darker tones. Love the black, navy, dk. green, reds. Works well with batiks.
