Your addition will be so nice when it is finished. We had SIL install all wood floors last year and some year before that. I was busy putting rooms back together after work. We have small rooms with lots in them. I didn't think we would ever get done. I do love changes and the nice looks after remodeling. I always wish we could hire professionals. think the job would get faster than just working on the weekends and I wouldn't have to do so much of the work.

Hang tight. Your day will come. I had the corner of my dining room for a sewing room. It was very aggravating when I had company for a meal. But now have a large sewing room since Gdaughter moved out.

My situation is similar to yours, but my sewing room is full of boxes from my classroom. We are switching rooms and were asked to remove all personal things. After 24 years I have lots of books, puzzles toys and theme boxes and right now they are all in my room. The biggest problem is that right now I NEED to sew to relax. So for now I just look at my fabric and design wall and sigh.

I feel your pain! Been there done that last year. It will be worth the wait. Just take in deep breaths & blow out slowly when your stressed. It helps! Also you can cut out all the pieces you need & put them in zip lock bags so your kit is already to go when you are

Think of how nice it will be when done !!!
Check w/ local churches or LQS to see if any ongoing projects invite others to attend, to get a quick fix in once in a while, this area had one group that met for charity bb quilts, even had extra machines, see if local adult school has upcoming classes in sewing, borrow your best friends kitchen table, I'd lend mine Hang in there, lifes long, just a bump in the road !! Hi, Make sure your machines are COVERED well!!!! Dust and sanding dust can ruin your machines. You will be happy with the finished product, right now, just keep looking at the end of the tunnel....a finsihed room.

Go to LQS and tell them your tale. Perhaps you can borrow a space for awhile. It works in our shop. We even have machines available. What could be more fun?
Have lived in construction for better part of 43 years and I really do understand.

I can relate!! We too did a 2yr entire home project and it drove me crazy. This last yr suggested selling this house and building another--NO WAY. Big hugs from Texas
