This wasn't an iron but it was hot enough to brand the face of Abraham Lincoln on the back side of her upper leg. Picture this… Hot summer day in southern AZ………… Hot leather car seats ……Young girl in shorts …… a penny on seat……… Get the picture ……… OUCH.... Young girl is now 41……… Abe’s still with her……… I tell her she will always be worth a cent

When I was in college, my friend's boyfriend sat down on the bed, right next to where his friend had put his mini-ironing board and a very hot iron. The iron fell right into his thigh. Unfortunately, he had on nylon jogging pants and the nylon actually burned into his flesh. I ended up taking him to the hospital (he didn't have a car) and he had third-degree burns as well as having to have the nylon removed from his tissue. It was horrible. The smell was horrible. I am now almost paranoid when I have my iron sitting anywhere near where it could be bumped into.
