I go to Raleigh quite often to visit my grand children and the evil parents that took them so far away. I may have to pay Walkertown a visit on my next trip.....

What is the name of the store and do they have a website?

uote=chamby]There is a discount fabric store here in NC in the town of walkertown. There is wall to wall fabric at wonderful prices. We are going to meet for lunch at Mi Pueblos in Clemmons and then off to shop for fabric.
Yeah, I wish everyone could go along with us.

I'm not far from there. Looking forward to your pictures and hearing about the prices ... though I am trying to abide by my self-imposed ban on fabric buying. It's not working all that well.

Okay can you give me an address for the store please. I live in Asheville but come to Clemmons and Winston Salem area atleast twice a year for the stamp and scrapbook stores so now hubby will be thrilled if I add a fabric store to these trips too. LOL! I'm excited because I'm planning a trip to Clemmons on Oct 2nd so hopefully I'll have time then.
    Thanks

Okay everyone I am back. I enjoyed my day out with friends. The lunch was great. The fabric store on the other hand has changed since I was there last. Their stock is way down and the prices had went up. I was able to get a few things though. We left there and went to JoAnn's on stratford road. I was able to find a backing fabric for my scrapy throw I am making for my couch. I have post pics of some the fabric I did buy. However two of the pieces I had already thrown in the washer before I remembered I need to take pics. The Christmas prints are for the quilted Christmas ball that I am going to make for tree this year. Buying the supplies for these in stages. I highly doubt if I go back to the fabric warehouse in walkertown. I was very disappointed.

Sure do love a road trip to the quilt stores. Seems like it's about time for another one.
Last time 3 of us left at 8 am and hit 7 quilt stores in Illinois (we live in Indiana) and one yard sale and I pulled into my drive at 10:45 that night. Talk about sensory overload. But it sure was fun.
Have lots of fun today with your road trip.
