I refuse to gallop...maybe a sedate walk...can't afford to muck up my "good" hip! Seriously, its lovely, beautiful colours and your quilting looks very good. I think it's a worthy gift for your MIL "quilting mentor".

I think it's wonderful!! Love the colors and I don't see any weird color thread.
This is the same pattern I'm trying to make as a novice. I hope mine turns out 1/2 as good as yours!

I'm sure she will be very proud of your work...I can imagine she'll be telling all of her family and friends what a wonderful job you did and what a special gift it was. I thinks it's lovely.
