I really wish they (whoever they are) would keep all this cold weather in the north. We are not supposed to get this many sub-freezing days in Louisiana. We had a gorgeous day today, in the 70's, but tomorrow night it's going back into the 20's. Maybe some freezing precip on Friday. I am not cut out for this. BRRRRrrrrrr!!!

Years ago you could still use your gas range when the power went down...not so today...all appliances have electronic igniters!

It started about 5pm at my house with some sleet. It quickly turned to freezing rain. I am going under the assumption that we will eventually lose power. Laptops and cell phones are charged and we can always recharge them in the car, if necessary. I have a terrible head/chest cold and feel absolutely miserable tonight. Not looking forward to the next few days, at all.

In Columbia, MO area snow is starting to come down. We had rain/freezing rain yesterday/last night. They are saying 8-12" but some say possibly higher amounts. Not good.

(Thinking about finding the ground hog and thumping him on the head so he can't see his shadow) :-)

Everyone stay safe and warm!!!

One never knows if we should believe the weather reports on the 3 local stations, or the weather channel. OR on-line! So many times they warned us about impending storms and winds, we cancelled our plans and not one drop of moisture came down from the clouds..........hmmmmmmmmm............I wonder if that's how the SHOW ME state got its name????????

Rain, freezing rain, ice .... that's what's forecast for this area until Thursday. NOT looking forward to this at all. IT'S TIME FOR SPRING, don't you think?
