That is why you are here. I believe they call you Proctector of the Children. There are people who should Never Ever have children. My youngest DD works for DHS and says it is so sad.

Ive always thought being able to birth a child was Gods way of pushing a person thru a door. Just because your door is locked so to speak doesnt mean you shouldnt raise a child (note, I say raise and not HAVE as in - I own this person body and soul, we just raise children to become responsible adults).
Maybe this is Gods way of trying to get you to foster kids, maybe you are meant to "have" more than a few of your own birthing and you are meant to have many many pass thru your life, on to a better adulthood than they could have w/o you.
They certainly seem to be put in your path dramatically. Maybe you should keep track of this child, it may be the one you are to start with - share t

Oh how awful!!! How sad. I would do anything to have another child. Incredible that anyone could do this.... I could see a child "escaping" and taking off, but for a parent not to be calling and reporting is beyond wrong.

Both of those children had walked out of the house while the parents were still asleep and I know things like that happen frequently. I know for sure that wasn't the case yesterday with that precious little girl. I certainly will never forget that smile on her face and her beautiful curly hair. I wish I could find out just how she got where she was and why. Probably best I don't know the rest of the story as I would be tempted to go slap the *&$) out of whoever had her!
I think I remember the incident in the 90s....I worked for the director of DHS and heard lots of stories. You're right, you don't want to know. I could never be a CPS worker......because I'd be tried for murder.........that dad was probably stoned and it took that long to sober up and realize she was gone. OR mom was stoned and is still stoned, and dad was a part-time dad and didn't know she was missing till he saw something in the paper. SAD story --- poor kid!!!!

I am also worried about her mother. If she was clean and well dressed, where is her mother.

That is so sad...it breaks my heart when I hear about little ones lost, abused, forgotten. Thankfully you were there to save her. I just hope she goes back to someone who cares.

In my younger days I was a single foster parent to 5 troubled teens and a few years ago I was granted temp custody of a four year old boy. I'm too old and tired and health isn't the best to attempt it again. I have two wonderful step-children and now have 2 granddaughters that get to come and stay with us for a week every summer. All in all, life is good but I just can't help wondering what kind of a life does that little girl have? I'm confident Children's Protection Services will keep an eye on that situation. I do have a friend that works there and I will contact her Monday to see if she can tell me anything.

I once had a friend who said,
"GOD TAKES CARE OF KIDS IF THEIR PARENTS DON'T".
You were sent as his hands on that day.
Thank you.
