What a difference when you change the fabric around!

    Default January 2012, Snowblossom Block

I talked myself out of taking part in this BOM, just thought I would lurk and enjoy everyones creations. Well, with all the beauties posted and Sulabug hosting, how could I not take part! Here is my January block, had a bit of a mind freeze and started removing the paper on the lower left block, you know how this ends, right? Stretch!!! Glad I remembered before pulling off the other 3... Oh well, come on February!
Sulabug, you are a great hostess, thanks for another year of fun.

Addielou, I love your blocks. That dark blue makes them all look like jewels.''

Thomp116, yours looks like it's floating around in space. Great background fabric.

Tulip, glad you decided to join in. It is a lot of fun and Sulabug is a fabulous hostess. Love the colors in your block.

It's amazing how different the stars look just by placing the light or dark fabrics in a different spot. I love them all.

Your efforts turned out beautifully...center just dances off the background fabrics. Thanks for sharing

I really like them all. This block would make a wonderful quilt alone.

I think it would be an awesome idea to use the Aussie color's for your 2012 Calendar blocks of the month. Especially with you being able to travel there to visit your daughter. Just think the fun you two will have together while shopping for the lovely fabrics they have. Of course, when you get home, you have to share picture's of all of the fabric's with us first!! Keep us posted on what you decide to do!!

AddieLou........WooHoo!! You have made three of the most awesome Snow Blossom blocks for this month & they are all gorgeous!! Do you plan to make three calendar quilts, at the end of the year, for gift's? Love your fabric's you chose to make your blocks with, especially the fabric with the snowflakes printed on it. I tried to find fabric like that, but wasn't able too, so I appreciate seeing all of the blocks that have the snowflake print's on them. Very nice work paper piecing too. Thank you for sharing with all of us.

What a striking combination of fabric's you chose to put your Snow Blossom block together with. I just love it & your paper piecing work looks really good!! February will be here before you know it, then everyone can start making their new block, for the month!! I am just as excited as you are to see the pattern. Thank you too, for sharing your block with all of us here on the quilting board.
