On the good side though, I have spent the day sewing my block, Rosellen's Cross.

I have to say that I did not particularly like the pic of Penny H's block in the book, but after seeing Obsessed's different choice of fabrics and thinking about my choices, I have now decided it wasn't the block as much as Penny's choice of fabrics that didn't appeal.

    Here is my Rosellen's Cross.
Wow! That is so beautiful. I love your colors.

Here is my Rosellens Cross. Somehow, it ended up off center but I went with it. Other curious things seem to be happening as well. I think I kind of like it.

Irene - that's putting your own stamp on the pattern and I kinda like it too.

There appeared to be heaps of folks interested in doing these blocks at the beginning who purchased PH's book.

There seems to be about 6 or 7 posting pics of blocks.

Are you all out there quietly glueing, stitching and soaking? Or have I missed some posts and need to go back through the thread and pay better attention this time?

Hi All, Well here are my 6" and 12" blocks for this week. I reworked the 12" block to make it better for me. I'll post those directions in the next post.

I made the horrible mistake of cutting through the top fabric while removing paper templates. To repair it, I clipped the zz stitching all around the damaged area. I trimmed out all of that piece of fabric, put a fresh piece behind the block, then sewed zz around that section. From the backside, of course, you can see my mess. From the front side, even I can't tell which diamond was replaced. sweet!
