great pincushion, table runner and the salsa looks delish! Hate tomatoes, but like salsa, tomato soup, sauce and ketchup. they are the caviar of the veggie world. Don't like the texture of them i guess.

Everything is o.k. I want to strangle the pain mgmt doctor. She told me I had a large mass in my left lung and it was urgent i get a cat scan. spent over 6 hrs in the emergency room last night. got a clean bill of health. But, boy, was i worried over this. that doc wasn't too professional. As I was leaving, she was telling the receptionist about the man before me. i was about 3 feet from her and could hear his whole medical history. Such Professionalism!!!

Have a good night all. off to work on my son's Asian quilt. will have Jeanne show pics on tuesday.

I'm glad that you are OK but what a worry you had. She doesn't sound too bright.
Mary you did a great job on your tablerunner and I love the fabric.
I did about 6 yard sales and no one had anything good. It is now 84 with a dewpoint of 73 and I guess a lot of people aren't having yard sales this weekend. This is what I got. I had been looking for a wooden utensil drawer to make a thing for sewing stuff and put some kind of little legs on it but I think this one is too big.
I don't know what I'd do if I had temps in the 90's/100's. This is hot enough for me and it's not going to cool down until next Wed. I bet Karen gets better stuff than I did. Everyone have a great day

Sorry to disappoint anybody but I only got a magazine and some pins. What I did get, though, was some great knowledge from the demos. One lady was showing how to piece scraps on adding machine paper. She was demonstrating how to put a block together. It was totally amazing. It was like paper piecing but random. There was a quilt there that showed what it looked like all put together. I wish I would have taken a picture of it. There were a couple other demos that were really interesting also. Anyway, I sign up for some classes starting in October. I'm excited!

Lynnie, I'm so glad that you are ok. That doctor sure wasn't very professional.
Mary love the table runner. Good job!
Red, I'm so glad that you are going to join us next month. Wow, already finished with a needlecase.
Pat, is that a little gargoyle I see next to Hello Kitty? Cool! I'm waiting for the weather to cool down a lot before I go to any yard sales.

I forgot...when I was at the LQS, someone took a picture and posted it to the LQS's facebook page. I was in the picture.

    .
we Bonnie Hunter fans know that as crumb piecing. When I had a class with Bonnie this summer we were laughing because she said she'd never use/save selvedges and I said I'd never save crumbs...but guess what, I have a sack for crumbs taped to my sewing machine table...

I think we all have a lot of crumbs. The finished quilt was wonderful. I should go back up there tomorrow just to take a picture of the quilt to show everyone.

    Hi everyone!

Lynnie I am so so so happy to hear you are ok. Sometimes they sure can scare us with what they think might be. Now you can go finish your quilt for your son in peace.

Pat I like those little salt and pepper shakers. I remember those from a long time ago. Are you going to try to use that drawer you got to put up on the wall to display things in?

Karen it sounds like you had fun. Oh and being in that picture. Now you are a celebrity.
