Received a beautiful fall block today from Moosegrl. She sent some extra yo-yos too. Thank you Jackie.

Look at the lovely handwork that goes right with the fabric

    Slowpoke here:
I spend between 2 hours and a week on making a block to send, depending on the pattern my partner wants. I am only doing one or two swap blocks a month with this swap so it will take a year or two to get enough blocks.
I'd give myself 2 days for layout and joining the blocks.
    Then, off to a longarmer.
So, in all, I should have my quilt for Christmas 2012.

    CherylW, burnsk,
    Kimscruzer, QuilterMomma, and AngieS --

So do wish we could do a mountain retreat :D :D :D

Let's keep thinking and praying and who knows, it may happen- not necessarily soon, but sometime.

Meanwhile, it's back to the everyday for now.

Sorry to hear about the layoff AngieS. Hang in there and enjoy the kids while you aren't as busy.

Ok everyone, I know of a cabin on the Boulder River in Montana that would be ideal. Our family cabin, no cost to any of us. We just need the food. We can all set up and there is a quilt shop down the road about 30 minutes. It has the best inspiration with a creek right beside it that flows so nicely. I am not sure of the flooding issue there, but we can light a fire to keep us warm. With all of us ladies, there will be warmth in our hearts and quilts to snuggle under, no prob. Now, how can I get off work for 30 days and away from family to just have fun with you gals. Someone have an idea?
Want me to call in sick for you?

Dottie -- got your blocks today, thank you very much (also for wool flower). All my sewing projects are on a temporary hold while I overhaul my sewing room. It was getting to where I couldn't find anything, couldn't get to the sewing machine, a total put-off. Well, I am amazed at all I've found under the piles. It's like Christmas in June. I may not have a good excuse to buy any more fabric for years. Hopefully work will resume next week for all the people I owe blocks to.

Oh that is funny! I have done such a good job of using up my stash I could not find any WHITE to make snowmen tonight! My shoulder aches from stacking & whacking. So it is Ben Gay, wine & a novel (about quilters of course)! PS I was the envy of City Quilters with the bag you made me! LOL

Embarrassed to admit this .... but -- Does anyone recognize this fabric? It has a navy background with tiny rose flowers, a few green and goldish leaves, very teeny leaves. It is left from the F8 that I received from Carsey for the Boomerang 5 North swap, and I mailed this block back about 5/10 or so, maybe a few days earlier or later later. She has not received it. I must have sent it to the wrong swapper because her envelope for mailing a block is in its pile on my desk. I forgot to take a picture so can't post what the block looks like. Never returned by the post office, so it was delivered somewhere! Color me embarassed; this has never hapened to me before. Perhaps I included it in a BOM block swap? Help! Has anyone seen this stray block?
