Sometimes it's hard for me to accept that I cannot do some things myself. I used to be pretty efficient at moving "stuff" around, but neuropathy has weakened me. He's very good at helping and also good at procrastinating. I am interested in your ideas for getting them motivated.:)

I get my step-son to help, he asks no questions, does what I want and I give him a few bucks. Works for me.

My husbands sister married my brother...so what we use to do, was she would call my husband and I would call hers to get things fixed. The guys hated that..so we never had issues any more. Tell him a friends hubby is going to be coming over to help...omg...men hate that.. lol

I've always just started doing stuff myself. if he helps that great. If not it still gets done the way I want it.

 This I can agree with. My dh does the same thing. Why do you have all this? What are you going to do with it? If I get on a roll to do a bunch of something he's like "it's not a race, you don't have to use it all at once"

I think I might take tomorrow off to organize some things so he will only have to move furniture. He doesn't need to see everything that will be in there. I have just started collecting quilt stuff but I have a TON of cross stitch stash.

My husband says if I want something done to do it myself. He seems to have no guilt level as he sits and lets me paint, move furniture, do yard work, whatever and bribes have never worked. I believe it is called LAZY! After 23 years, I just go ahead and do it myself. It's just easier! And if I get stuck with something, I just call my wonderful son in-law.
