Everyone, you probably know what a hard time Sharon and her husband are going through as he recovers from a stroke.

The Chat Girls thought sending Sharon some signed blocks to make into a quilt would be a thoughtful and supportive gift.

We picked the Antique Tile block from Quilter's Cache, which is an easy 12" block. Please substitute white for the center so it can be signed by you, and make up the rest of the block in blue and white. Here is the link - http://quilterscache.com/A/AntiqueTileBlock.html

She just recently painted her bedroom blue, so an all blue and white quilt will look spectacular right? Besides "Blue is THE color for 2008."

If you are participating in this effort, please sign up here, then PM me when you are ready to mail your block and I will give you Sharon's address. Thanks!

    Wendy

Blue and White fabrics only please!

I would LOVE to do one. Just so happen to have a stash of blue as she is in my birthday block group also. And I happen to agree that blue is the best color for anything, anytime.

Does Sharon need the work of putting it together or should some of us and they get the finished product?

I an not sure I will do another blk but have a suggestion. Maybe we can do 1 or either. We all know she is away from home and staying in a hotel maybe we could send gift cards or $5 to $10 in cash to help w/ her costs of food , hotel. Just a suggestion!!!!

Count me in. If anyone can think of something else she might need, holler. I know we all want to do whatever we can to help her out.

Count me in. I like the idea of sending her $. I know when my friend was in the hospital, the parking costs alone were awful. Let me know if that gets going too.

I think you should do whatever you want in the center, as long as it includes your name. What does everyone else think? I was planning to draw a little cartoon with my name, it's sort of my signature for quilt blocks.

I'm in. I really like the block. And blues will be awesome.

Are we using our online name or our entire real name (she probably won't know who we are if we use our real first & last names!) How about our online name and city & state (or country 8) ???

I think signing your online name, city and state/country and date is good for the signature, but if you want to sign your real name, that is good also.

Anyone that wants to send along a donation of money or giftcard or whatever can do so since you will be sending it directly to Sharon.

It is so great to see all the responses to this. I am sure Sharon and Roy will be overwhelmed and cheered when the blocks start coming in!
