I love the colors. Children need something bright in their lives. Have fun. Happy quilting. :-D

That is why we make them because most kids are pulled out of a home with nothing but what they are wearing.

Neat idea about the duffle bags. Will have to check and see if I can find a pattern for that.

There are scads of free ones on-line. I should know - I have just about all of them either as hard copy of saved to a flash drive! LOL

I'm trying to find out if there's a group around here that does that. No luck yet. I don't mind starting my own group or as an affiliate of a national group but don't want to re-invent the wheel.

Great block. This would be great as a whole quilt. What a great thing you are doing for the children. I worked many years with children like this and foster children and neglected children as a day care teacher and all they want is love and acceptance.

A child in the situation you mentioned would love this happy block. Good color selection, and the butterfly would cheer any kid. My heart breaks for these little children.

Looks like happy fabric to me and any child would love it. I don't think a child would care what was used, its something they can call their own and no one can take it from them.

I like your colours but my only concern (since you asked),is that the colour values in your quilt seem to be all the same. A quilting rule is colour gets all the credit but value does all the work. Just a thought anyway.

Gorgeous! Love the balance of oranges and yellows. They offset each other without being matchy-matchy. Lucky kids to receive your gift of love! Awesome you for doing this. When I can afford to retire (not for a long time) I pray I can give back by doing the same thing you are doing.
