I have a vegetable garden. I am really hoping it can survive all the rain we have had. I am having a problem with something eating my watermelon plants and my eggplants. (Some type of bug). Does anyone have any idea what I might spray them with?

I would love to have your recipe. I just started learning to can a few things last year and gardening too for that matter.

Lettuce, radishes, green onions, green beans, corn, tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, squash, zucchini, sweet onions, blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Oh yea, pears and peaches too!

We didn't get the first thing out of our garden last year...spring drowning immediately followed by a scorching drought. I have never seen as many bad bugs as last year, but hopeful it won't happen again!! I need to can, can can!!

I would love the recipe too! Thanks for being kind enough to offer! I have a fantastic bread & butter pickle recipe if anyone would like it! It's a very quick process, after the ice/ salt soak, and the pickles remain very crisp without any other additives :). I have tried many recipes and this is the best, by a landslide!

What a beautiful plant! I know you're going to enjoy that one.

My DH grows tomatoes and rhubarb and tries brussel sprouts and other oddities (without much luck.) I don't do sunshine though. I would rather stay inside and quilt!

I haven't even been up to my garden yet. Too much rain. I usually plant tomatoes, swiss chard, spinach, lettuce and zuccini. I haven't decided what else to plant yet. Last year my garden got so overgrown with squash that I don't think I will plant that this year. Will have to wait and see.

We have a big one, plus a bunch of fruit trees only 3 years old, so no fruit yet, asparagus, berries, rhubarb!

I've had a garden every year since I was a little girl. This year will be no exception and I hope the tomatoes grow better this year. It rained all of April and was cold then it got hot and stayed that way with no rain most of the summer. I'm starting seeds today. We can't plant until after the first of June so I should have nice seedlings by then.
