I am planning to get an Innova for personal use. I plan to do my quilts and do charity quilts on it. However, it probably won't be until the end of the year.

I also have a frame with a mid-arm, but unlike QuiltnNan, I don't plan on getting a long arm, although it would be nice. But for what I do for myself (would never do it for others..I'd be too afraid of messing it up) what I have does the job.

I have a Voyager 17, had it for 4 yrs. Use it just for quilts I make, and have no interest in doing quilting for other people.

I got a long arm several years ago, a Gammill Premier, and I quilt for myself; once in awhile as a favor for a friend or a service quilt. It makes no economic sense at all but I can do more quilts this way and I enjoy doing it. My DH has encouraged me to add a stitch regulator but I'm balking at the extra expense. I did machine quilt on my sewing machine for years before but the long arm was a whole new approach for me and took awhile to learn.

I have a Bailey's and love it! Only 4 quilts quilted under my belt and learning so much.

I have a Gammill Premier Plus, and I love it! I estimate that I have done over 60 quilts on this machine, and the only thing that would have made it better (maybe...) would have been the Statler Stitcher.
My machine truly has been a blessing and has allowed me to become more productive. I also do commisioned work, so I earn a little money but that is NOT the focus. The real reason for my machine is, like for most of you, family and friends who appreciate all that we do!

I was looking on line to see if any one rents time on a longarm. I found one close to home you have to take a 2 hr class first. Think I'm going to try it.
