I made my first quilt about 35 years ago, and have made about 1, every other year since. I still concider myself a beginner, after seeing the masterpieces posted here and at quilt shows. I retired 2 years ago and since have finished a top I started 25 years ago. I also have several projects started including an applique I am doing by hand. That will take forever. I just want to finish something. My sister has brought several tops over to quilt. I have finished hers as mine wait. Time to change my stratagy.

Oh yes, you are at least to the "Advanced Beginner" stage, and beyond I'd say!

Dina, Your story sounds so familiar. I had never heard of quilting untill my DH got satilite TV 13 yrs ago and I was lucky enough to see a show hosted by none other than Alex Anderson. I was hooked before I ever sewed a stitch. Congats for sticking to it. You rock!
