I love the idea of the 40" fabric with the printed shoes on them to be appliqued. 9" or 12" would be fine. Since I pay around $10 to $15 for a panel now I wouldn't expect to pay much more.
    or
A paper pattern, applique, 9" to 12", and for $$ I would keep it affordable.
Wish you lots of luck in your venture.

For $25 I'd be interested in buying the CD which has the shoes and instructions for printing each shoe on my own fabric, embellishment suggestions and finishing instructions. The bonus on the CD could be the outlines for the shoes for those who would like to paint their own or appliqué.

I think I might consider buying that - I haven't purchased fabric for quite a while - but I've been reading that $12.00/yard for "special" fabric is now on the low end?

But if that came in a panel, I would feel no major need for a pattern.
ITA ... if a panel there'd be no need for a pattern as everyone would be free to do their own thing! :)

Thanks so much for "getting it"!!

I'd go for the pre-printed. I think they would really sell. On the price do you go higher for a select number or do you make them affordable for the mass markets. That of course is up to you. What would they be like printed on fusible web where they could be peeled off and ironed onto a block? Is that doable?

    1. Would you be more likely to buy a paper pattern with good instructions or 9 - 12" already printed blocks?

    Paper

    2. If you chose the paper, would you want it to be for painting or for applique?

I'd offer both, because you are going to have those that love the idea, but can't applique, but maybe they are painters or colored pen crafter's. There also might be a market for embroidery.

    3. No matter which you chose, what would you expect the cost to be?

    10.00 for applique
    15.00 for paint and applique.
