Well...yesterday I was on E-bay looking for some William Morris fabric and they wanted $25.50 for 1/2 yard!
But don't rush ladies & gents - they had 5 yds. available.
    They probably still do!

Have been a collector for years. When we price to sell, we all know it is worth only what the buyer is willing to pay. I think some people get carried away on auctions.

    1. It was a bidding war between two bidders.
    2. You never know what the seller said privately about the contents. I have had long email conversations about items that never were shown on the listing.
    3. If you like that, I know a lady with a living room full of the same stuff and she was having a garage/living room sale last week. Only one bolt looked newish. Piles and piles of earlier fabric.

Once I got a car trunk load of 70s vintage (probably hundreds of yards) for $75. Properly stored and the leftovers from an ebay reseller. Great fabric for our donation quilts if even used for the backs. We used it for a year.

I don't think so-- Most of those I have bought at Hancocks-and Wal-Mart in the last year for less than 4 $ and a few are in a JoAnns sale paper recently.
