I now iron interfacing on the back so they last longer. A couple of years ago Vogue came out with retro patterns of old Barbie patterns so I bought more. I do that with clothes patterns I like and use a lot too before I can't get anymore of the pattern.

We had 6 inches of rain last night, a foot of water on our street. One time we had 3 feet on the street. Our house is on the hill so we don't have to worry. A lot of bridges washed and high ways were shut. Husband couldn't go to work today. 40 miles south of us had 13 inches. All this goes into the Mississippi River.
Guess I had better listen to local news. This morning DH did say area around Dbq got hammered.

I make tiny quilts and have sewn detailed blue jeans in the past. Barbie clothes are beyond my capabilites! Kudos to anyone who can sewn them.

I just about can make Barbie clothes with my eyes shut. A few years ago I made 150 outfits for our country store at the church picnic. I also did about 12 of each pattern and the same fabric. It go faster. Then I gave some to my little friends. Husband mad wood Barbie beds; single and bunk beds to give away to neighbor's kids. I made my first paper piecing quilts for those beds. My neighbor was more excited than the kids. I made matteress's, bedding and pillows with cases. I need to get scanning pictures for own here. I have made a lot of Barbie furniture out of plastic canvas.

I love tiny quilts. I only do paper piecing. I like doing little things.

Hello, I am from Iowa too. Sounds like you have a great time making great stuff. I want to make some table runners too but I have six kids and they all want a bed quilt, I still have three to do.

Welcome from South Carolina. You may make things for the church but that's how it starts. Then the addiction takes hold and your running to your computer looking at everything in this forum. Enjoy... its FABULOUS!!!
