We have neighbors who do a lot of cruises, and they say there are older folks who live on the cruise ships for the same reasons. They do have to change rooms periodically, though, but get good rates and a chance to travel. cool idea!

I'm forwarding this to my son who says he's got my spot all picked out! I'm new to working with mostly-sweet oldsters in a nursing home, and I've been promising him that I'll be compliant when my time comes.... I want to be a sweet oldster like my mom and dad were...

so that was what some of our weekly visiting seniors were doing when i worked at the ambassador hotel. lol and they said they come up to visit family......and yes it was 50 a night 150 for a week and included a buffet breakfast eveery morning and all the coffee and tea they wanted. lol no wonder they were a happy bunch..

We met a lady that does that. The ships crew actually adopted her and gave her special recognition and she wears a crew's ID tag. She often travels the same ship back to back.
