That is going to be a beautiful quilt. I love the bird blocks. I have some of the same bird fabric. This gives me some ideas on what to do with them. Be sure to post pictures as you go along.

I love the Churn dash that you used around your birds. They look really nice. Never had thought about that before but I really do like it. Can't wait to see more of your blocks. Great job.

You've inspired me! My sister who has been a birder all for many, many years had a massive stroke. She can not talk or walk anymore, and she will never regain those abilities. She does know and understand everything. Her son does take her out in a wheel chair onto the beautiful grounds of the rehab center in FL where she can see the birds. But, there are many days when she doesn't go out. I have been saving bird fabric to make a quilt for her, but just didn't know what to do. I'm getting all the fabric out NOW and starting to figure it out. Thanks for the inspiration.

I got some of it at Walmart, and some from fellow board members who knew I was looking for birds. Some from Joann's remnant collections.
Sadly, I am really bad at searching online and finding sites. Perhaps craftybear or one of the other more savvy members can find some sites for you.
