Pros: It cooks faster and more evenly.

Cons: Price. Figuring out times and temperatures to cook at because not all models do it automatically.

I have a microwave/convection/vent combination and I love it. I use the convection oven mostly because it doesn't heat the kitchen as an oven. I enjoy my convection oven.

If you have never used convection before buy an oven that has an auto convert feature. Also know that your baked goods will rise more evenly because the oven heat does not fluctuate as greatly as the industry allows for a regular oven . Reg oven temps are allowed to fluctuate as much as 50 degrees according to industry standards.

I have one in the MH if I put meat in it needs to know how much it weighs. That is a bother and so I never use it.Plus I need to put in extra shelves for baking and it is also a Microwave, only good thing about that is I can use metal pans. I would prefer to have a gas stove and oven in the house, but no gas lines to the house. I have gotten to the point I hate to cook. - J

I love my convection oven. I also have convection in my microwave oven and my toaster oven. Bakes evenly and uses less electricity than conventional ovens, although these ranges come with combination convection/conventional, so you have your choice. I've never used the conventional oven.

I like mine - more even raising of cakes and high rise to them also - a bit faster baking as well.

Have a convection oven that can be turned on or left off. I love it on for baking cookies and such. Hate the glass cook top though. Cannot shake a pan on the burner as it will scratch the glass. Yep, ask me how I know! Would not buy that again!

I love my convection oven (Kitchenaid) when I remember to use it. It is good for breads and pizza crust. If I were shopping I would buy it.
My microwave also doubles as a convetion oven, but it is so complicated to use that I don't fool with it unless I need 2 ovens at once.

I would be lost without my convection oven. Mine will cook either way, but I use convection most of the time.
Meat stays juicy and is so flavorful done convection roast. I use it for so many things. Of course, breads, cakes, etc. But meat is the #1 thing.
