I like the first combination. I'm not a fan of solid colors.

I think it is the wrong sort of yellow to use too much of. It would be good as a highlight or a peeper, but not to be used as much as you suggest. Putting the other colour as the dominant one would tone it down a bit and make it more interesting with the two colours used wisely. The other colours look superb. Please show us the finished work?

I vote for the tan. I think the yellow might overpower the other colors and be TOO much. Would like to see your pattern!

The gold makes it all pop. Those beautiful batiks definitely deserve to pop. My vote is def for the gold!

I like a little yellow sparkle in every quilt, but too much can be overwhelming. How about putting a small piece of the yellow in each block, then using the tan, or off white for the border. I think yellow border would be just too much, but it needs some of it. A quilt is flat without a little yellow.

I agree with Paulina. With the cream, your batiks will be the eye-catching fabrics. With the yellow, they'll be an afterthought.

I agree. The cream lets your beautiful batiks sing!

I like the yellow best - I like bright colors. The tan one just doesn't work for me at all. I think black would be good and I think white might be good.
