Here's a head start on tomorrow's word of the day ...
Ubiquitous [u·biq·ui·tous] adj. Being or seeming to be everywhere, or in all places, at the same time; omnipresent.

"My fabric hoard ... um, I mean stash ... is ubiquitous."

Disappearing 9patch is such an ubiquitous pattern.

Today's word of the day is Remora (REM-er-uh)

    1.
    An obstacle, hindrance, or obstruction.

A hindrance is when you sew something laying behind something that you are cutting. Then I have to pull out my remora to help me out.

my inability to fmq successfully is the true remorah keeping me from being a quality quilter. it may seem a slimsy excuse but the ubiquitous quilt inspectors and hangers on are of scant help. i would castigate them, but it is of no use, being redundant. it has been done to no avail.

Hahaha! I actually saw a book at Barnes and Noble called Crafting with Cat Hair. I thought it was a joke, but it wasn't. Ugh! It had a chapter on "harvesting"!
