What a great quilt for a guy... I wouldn't have thought of these colors (but then I am a brights kinda girl) but I do love these. Another thing I love about this board: it shows us patterns/colors/combinations that we wouldn't necessarily think we like. And boy do we find we are wrong!

Thanks Ladies! I might actually try another king size for my bed now...

Forgot about this... I took the blocks I messed up and added to them to make his dog his own little quilt so he won't mess up the nice big one.

Perfect color choice! Great pattern. I'd say you scored a winner with this quilt. Great job.

The question is, does your brother approve.
It's a gorgeous quilt and very manly. And as for the mistakes, no one will know if you don't tell them. I can't see any.

You did a wonderful job. This is a very cozy and comfy looking quilt. A nice man quilt! DSILs quilting finishes it off perfectly. I like the idea of using a great shade of gray for the backing. A color that not a lot of people use today. May be the color is a shade of blue? It is a very nice grey on my screen And I like it!

It's a grey backing. I was looking for more of slate blue/grey but couldn't find one. But I until yesterday, I had to drive 40 miles to the next town to get fabric. Yesterday a little fabric store opened here. I've been really good so far and haven't stopped in, but I will before the week is out. I have to drive by it everytime I go into town.

I head to Shreveport Saturday to deliver the quilt. Lots of fabric places there... :-)
