Is This Quilt a "Traditional" or "Innovative" Design?

If you took the color away, would the design be innovative, or does it look modern because of the color placement ? While I think it's WONDERFULLY unique and exciting, I'm thinking the design is not as innovative as the color placement. But, I guess at the end of the day, it's really your decision where you want to enter it. Your quilts will win accolates no matter what category it's in!

I'm going to enter this quilt in a show and the application asks if the quilt is "Traditional Design" or "Innovative Design." Here is what the application says: "Traditional and Innovative refer to design, not to construction techniques. Innovative entries should emphasize innovation in design."
I have no idea what these terms mean and don't know which one to pick for the application. Which do you think it is?
(Sorry for the inadequate picture. It's the only one that was small enough to post.)

Oh, this is so awesome !!!! My eyes can't get enough of looking at it. How did you ever find similar fabrics with such subtle shadings? I can only hope that some day my skills will begin to approach what I see in your wonderful, magical quilt!!! Whether it is innovative or modern, I cannot say, I certainly know it is NOT traditional. LOL
