Didn't know it would make such an impact!
I was the same when I started making graduation quilts for the g-kids. Turns out, the boys are as thrilled with them as the girls. Makes it all worth while!

I can see why they love them: masculine colors and patterns ,and from their grandmother's hands and heart. I love the pic of you and the boys. Such love beaming out. Thanks for sharing.

I was fairly new to quilting when I made my son his quilt, I think he was somewhere between 10 & 12. When he left home, the quilt came with him, when he came back come the quilt came with him, in other words wherever he went, the quilt went. This year I made our DGD a quilt for her new "big girl" bed, I put 2 months of quilting into 2 weeks, but it was done on Christmas Eve and my son threw it in the washer and dryer for me. We told Zoe to close her eyes, my son put the quilt over her on the couch, then she jumped down from the couch and gave me an enthusiastic hug and kiss. My DS said he thought it was my best quilt ever.
