    I like it as is. The border is the frame. The body is so special, why detract or compete with?

    My vote is for Option #2..while both are wonderful, that just seems to fit better with your top..

    I like it the way it is but if it must be larger then use the second border. It is less distracting from the beautiful and intricate centre.

    I like the second one. It does not distract from the body of the quilt. Either way it is beautiful.
