Thanks for all the suggestions. I decided for the label I'm just going to only put his name, afterall, this is about him, not me. On the card I send with it, I'm going to write, "Made with love to keep you warm and cozy wherever this fight may take you. Use as desired, wash when needed, and know you have the love and support of your friends and family across the globe."

I just pulled it out of the dryer and it's so warm and cozy! I will try and get a couple quick pix of the final quilt before I pack it and get it ready to ship tomorrow. Thanks again everyone!

what a beautiful cherry quilt. how about a very thin batt. Joanns has one under the front counter that I use. it's a fleece one, very thin, we use it on our bed quilt in the summer and the winter, and our winters get very cold here in NY on the island. good luck, really love your colors and design.

I wanted to thank everyone for their help and advice. He should be getting it today or tomorrow, and it just so happens, today is also his birthday. THAT was a stroke from above I think. Anyway, here are some pictures of how it turned out. Thank you all for everything!

Just wanted to stop in with a little update in case anyone else browses this for advice. My husband talked to him for over an hour last night and he said that it's one of the few things he could use and be comfortable with during his chemo. His skin was so super sensitive that pretty much everything else he had was painful. It felt really great to hear that and I'm so glad I could help. For the batting I used quilter's dream and then the flannel backing. Thanks again everyone for the help!
