I finally got my mug rug & goodies mailed out to Betty J. Yippee! A great accomplishment, to my way of thinking! The guy at the post office said 7-10 days to get there. He wouldn't lead me on, would he???

Sure is, I keep checking hoping to see some pictures of this months Mug Rug swap. I am getting ready for my Christmas retreat in mid November, have to make a Christmas bunting 8 x 9 1/2 inches, each person makes one each year and they are hung in the hall that we sew and eat in. The banners are retained by the organisers and the ones from past years are also hung. Also we have to make a Christmas placemat for mealtime. Your placemat is moved at each meal so that you get to sit with different retreat people. A great way to make acquaintances, I think. Well, the good news is I have just finished my banner and placemat and I didn't leave it to the last minute as usual. I will post some pics once I have taken them.

I am also working on our quarter BAS business tax return, I hope to finish it this coming week, also pleased to have it done.

Have taken the pics of my bunting and Placemat, so I am posting them as I said I would.
My next project is to make my end of year patchwork challenge set by the quilting group I belong to. It is really a hard one, we are given a piece of fabric and the title for the challenge and some how you have to make it work!
Then I need to get busy with Christmas sewing etc, as Christmas is again coming very quickly.

I made this bag which was pieced, embroidered and appliqued in the machine embroidery hoop and then assembled by machine, last week. The designs are from Anita Goodesign's "Blooming Tote" project CD. It is quite a large bag, a good one for shopping!

Love all your handmade items, Betty! I admit that I have a thing for bags, & I really love yours! Very sweet! And the banner is beautiful! I love the idea of the moving placemat -- what a great way to meet new people!

And you just reminded me -- Christmas is 2 months away. Yikes!
