I'm saddened by this news. She was a treasure to sewers everywhere.

She was a lovely lady and a trailblazer who paved the way for the how-to TV programs of today. I remember watching one of her PBS pledge specials where she talked about the first shows she (and I think her husband) put together. They showed footage and my goodness what a lot of work it was!

She will be long remembered. Rest in peace, sweet lady.

I just got an email that she had passed. I had bought several items from her company over the years. So sad for her family, friends and everyone who knew of her.

I've watched her since her first show. Garment and decorating sewing is/was my thing. Her teaching was marvelous. She's going to be missed. And can't tell you how much I love the Catalog, Nancy's Notions. So many things you never find in the stores, and marvelous patterns. She'll be missed so much, just an 8 a.m. TV staple, for years.
