TExas would be easy to do. I would enlarge an outline of Texas to the size you want and then divide it into sections for ease of sewing. I foundation piece all my sections using a traceable vilene/interfacing and then join them all together. Hope that helps getting you started.

I love them both! The selvages are wonderful. I once made a quilt banner for our church's annual auction which had a theme of "Down Under" and I made an Australian quilt. It was so much fun. I love your "pieced" effect on the hand.
