I use this one for quick bags. It's sturdy and no exposed seams. It can be made in any size, tall or short.

I sew the handles around the bag, bottom to top to make it extra strong.

I can't imagine saying that to anyone about anything! Good for your hubby. People need to get a life.

I watched some Swedish death cleaning videos. Very depressing. I can see not being a hoarder and getting rid of things one doesn't love, but, mostly get rid of things your kids or family or anyone won't want to wade through. What if those things still bring comfort and joy? I told my family when I am gone to call the quilting people to get that stuff and then call 1-800 got Junk. I think the Junk people try and find homes for useable things. Maybe I am making myself feel better!

Hello, my name is Linda and my addiction is buying fabric. I've been making Kennel Quilts for cats and doing the pillow case challenge. All are for charity. After making over 80 quilts, many for Project Linus in the last 9 years I'm burned out on quilts for a while. Other charities need items and I'll use what I can for those.

I think a stash is too much only if it becomes burdensome to the person who owns it. But in that case, there are lots of options for sharing the stash with others.[/QUOTE]
I happen to 100% agree with this statement. 👏👏👏 I have read on other threads on here how to much "stuff" in one's creative space ruins their MOJO and their creative juices are depleted. Some people thrive and a full creative space energizes them to use it. Our sewing space and how much fabric is in it is OUR choice, friends, neighbors, and family have no business sticking their noses in.🥸

Onebyone thanks for sharing the pattern. I am stumped on one step under Finish the bag step. Can you please explain how you tuck the lining into the outer bag fabric. It seems to me that there is no hole left since you sewed it close in the previous step. Thanks in advance for your help.

WesternWilson, I'm wondering if your friend is a quilter. If not, she can't be expected to understand why you would have so much fabric.

I like to just jump into projects without spending much if any time shopping for fabric, so my large stash really works for that kind of quilting. I also love improv...again a big stash is a big help in that enterprise.
